How I Beat Anxiety

All of my life I always feared the worst. In every aspect of my life. I was filled with worry and anxious feelings. My anxiety had been winning up until recently when I decided enough was enough. I woke up one day and decided I would no longer fear the worst but hope for the best instead.

It wasn’t an easy process and it took a while for my heart to stop pounding and my eyes to stop getting blurred. I’m in a completely different mindset now – I’m constantly expecting great things to happen and they do.

I done so much research once I decided to beat my anxious thoughts and feeling. Many things have helped from eating berries to meditating daily. I used to use non-healthy coping mechanisms such as smoking to deal with my anxiety. Now instead of that I choose to drink water or breathe through it. Theses days I rarely get anxious which is a massive improvement. At one point I didn’t want to walk anywhere on my own or want to be home alone.

Some things that have helped me beat anxiety –

  • Calming music
  • Yoga
  • Eating berries
  • Keeping a diary
  • Drinking more water
  • Meditation
  • My Blog
  • Taking time away from social media

  1. I love when people do posts on mental health because it’s becoming so much less of a stigma now and it’s great to learn new tips! I’ve never really tried meditating but it’s something I want to get into! I think I will after reading this! Glad you’ve been able to get through it 🙂
