If you’re looking for self-improvement tips, you’ve came to the right place. I know, Monday’s are hard work. First day back to work, lack of sleep and just dread in general. They can really suck but they shouldn’t because each day is a chance to improve ourselves. Instead of dreading Monday today and letting it ruin your day – plan to do something after work that will not only improve your mood but improve yourself. That’s my plan for when I get home from work tonight. I’ve put together some tips to help you do the same. Here’s my tips for self-improvement to help make your Monday that little bit better. A bit of Monday Motivation never hurt anyone, right?

 

Self-improvement Tips: 

Don’t Snooze

Okay, this is easier said than done I’ll agree. I’m THE worst for clicking that snooze button. I always feel worse for doing it. If I set my mind to it by putting my alarm further away than usual and set myself a reason to wake up the first time I hear the alarm. I somehow manage it. You can too.

Think Positive

This is something you can start right now and continue throughout the rest of your day. I’ve recently been trying to stick to this one myself. It makes a difference. When a negative thought pops into my head, I think of two positive things. By cutting out negative thoughts, you’re allowing positives in. Hold on to positive thoughts and let go of any negative ones.

Make Someone Else Happy

A lot of the time someone is going through hell and not speaking up about it. Kind gestures or words can go a long way. Not only will it make you feel like a good person but you have the potential to make someone’s day. If you find this one hard, simply compliment a colleague on their work or offer to give them a hand.

Listen to Your Favourite Songs

There’s nothing like the feeling you get when your favourite song comes on the radio. Make that feeling happen more often. Instead of waiting for it to come on the radio, put it on whilst you’re doing your house work. Listening to music that you love can completely change your mood. Create a playlist called “Self-Improvement” and only add songs that make you feel amazing. I like to fall asleep while listening to my favourite chilled music, I posted about my sleep playlist recently if you need any ideas.

Quit a Bad Habit

Sometimes habits can get us into a bit of a rut. One of the best ways to make self-improvements is to replace bad habits with good ones. Instead of biting your nails, every time to go to bite them apply hand moisturizer. A good way to quit a bad habit is to change your scenery or stop spending time with toxic people.
